Lafayette LIVE! Stuart Bogie / Solo Clarinet & Electronics

Lafayette LIVE! on September 13 at 12:30pm featuring composer and performer Stuart Bogie, outside on the patio in Brooklyn’s neighborhood of Fort Greene, at Lafayette Avenue and South Oxford Street.

Stuart Bogie had been an active part of New York City’s diverse musical soundscape for over 26 years. Recent projects include the annual 5 days Clarinet/Organ improvisational concert series November Variations (24/25/26) with organist/composer Buck McDaniel, Tale from the Underground with PILOBOLUS (2024), Morningside (with James Murphy, 2022) – debuting at the Roman Theater in Arles (2023), and The Prophets in the City for large brass ensemble and drums – debuting at The Newport Jazz Festival (2021). His music for solo clarinet and electronics has centered his musical work around his first instrument and the spontaneous moment.

After the performance, there will be sneak-peek tours of the now-closed but stunning church Sanctuary. For those who have never been in this magnificent space, this will be a rare treat to see the Tiffany windows and mural that wraps around the sanctuary, created by Pratt alum Hank Prussing.
