A message from the LAPC Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC)
Our congregation is seeking a full-time, permanent pastor to lead our inclusive and diverse community as we strive to live the gospel and affirm our historical commitment to social justice. We are looking for an experienced (2+ years) and compelling preacher with deep spiritual grounding, compassion, and the capacity to strengthen and sustain our vibrant diversity of all kinds.
To keep everyone up-to-date on our process we have created the graphic above detailing the steps to selecting our next pastor. This reflects what work we’ve already accomplished, where we are currently and what work lies ahead. The LAPC PNC interview process includes: 1) reviewing applications, 2) multiple rounds of remote and in-person interviews, 3) background checks, 4) a site visit to LAPC, and 5) a visit to watch candidates preach from a “neutral pulpit.”
