Jazz Vespers Service – The Tyler Bullock Trio
About Jazz Vespers: The fading of the day’s light inaugurates a time when lamps are lighted. In Jewish tradition, this transitional moment is accompanied with a prayer or blessing. LAPC celebrates this custom by conducting our own version of a Jazz Vespers service.
All are welcome, whether it is your first time in this place, or your 1000th!
You can join us in-person, or watch the livestream on Facebook and YouTube (@lapcbrooklyn).
No admission charge, a free-will offering will be collected. Doors open at 3:30pm.

About Tyler Bullock II, a dynamic up-and-coming pianist and composer from Nashville, Tennessee. At 20 years old, Tyler is already establishing himself as one of the most promising pianists of his generation, having worked with Sean Jones, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Joe Farnsworth, Mark Whitfield, Willie Jones, Sherman Irby, Ulysses Owens Jr., The Roy Hargrove Big Band, Abraham Burton, Duane Eubanks, Curtis Lundy, Bruce Williams, and Stacy Dillard since moving to New York City to attend the Juilliard School in 2021. He has been the regular pianist with the Roy Hargrove Big Band since 2022, and in 2023, he recorded with Ulysses Owens Jr.’s Gen Y Band at Rudy Van Gelder studio and tours with them internationally. Intending to combine the lineage of jazz with his own fresh perspective, Tyler weaves powerful musical narratives in his compositions that serve as a framework for his trio to unleash their creativity.
