Lafayette LIVE! with The Broadway Carolers

Join us under the flags on the patio in front of the church on Lafayette Avenue in Fort Greene, followed by a ‘sneak-peek’ tour inside the now-closed Sanctuary, including its spectacular stained-glass windows and mural that wraps around the sanctuary..

All in the community are invited..! This free event happens the second Sunday of every month, and you don’t have to attend the morning worship services to take it all in… just stop by! We can’t wait to see you.

About The Broadway Carolers: Produced by  I S.M.I.L.E. in New York Productions, the Broadway Carolers is a talent pool of accomplished performers with a collective resume including Broadway, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Metropolitan Opera, film, tv, and other performance credits! Every holiday season since 1997, they have been bringing people together in holiday carols around New York City and the Tri-State area.

From the Broadway Carolers:  “For more information on our different vocal groups and to boost your holiday spirit, please visit our website: www.broadwaycarolers.com. While you’re there, please accept our free gift of the soothing, meditative “Soundbath For Christmas Spirit,” and learn about our Wenceslas Fund which helps us to bring measures of comfort and joy to nursing homes through our caroling.

We’re very happy to be part of your special day at Lafayette Avenue Presbyterian Church!”

About the Sanctuary Tour: Take a sneak-peek tour inside the now-closed Sanctuary, including its spectacular windows and mural that wraps around the sanctuary titled “Cloud of Witnesses” (1978), created by a graduate of nearby Pratt Institute, Hank Prussing, images of people in the community at that time interspersed thematically with the collection of stained-glass windows by Tiffany Studios and others.

ALSO: A COAT DRIVE: This church’s Social Justice Committee will be collecting warm coats for Asylum Seekers… stop by during Lafayette LIVE! and drop off warm coats, hats, gloves for adults, young people and children.
